That’s all he could think of as he grabbed the hard concrete floor and tried to pull himself up.
The intense pain that had assaulted his entire body just a few moments ago had disappeared. Not only that, the sensation of the cold, rough asphalt on his hands had also begun to fade. His body was so heavy it felt as though it was filled with lead. He wasn’t even sure if he was moving forwards as he desperately crawled across the street. Every time he tried take a breath, he felt a pain in his chest. It felt as if poison had been mixed into the air. As he coughed, blood sprayed out from his mouth and filled his throat, making it even more difficult to breathe.
He was dying.
His life was about to end, but he desperately continued crawling. He wanted to live longer, if only for a few short seconds.
“I’m not sure what to do…”, he muttered, blood leaking out from the edges of his mouth.
he turned his watery eyes to what was behind him.
As he looked further behind, he observed a monstrous beast making disgusting noises as it ate what used to be his legs. The monster was a minotaur, a creature from a world of myths and fantasy.
Suddenly, the Minotaur that had been eating his legs snapped its head towards him. At that moment, it met his dying eyes and sneered. The minotaur laughed.
It seemed to be smiling at the thought of his impending death, or perhaps from delight as it found the rest of the meal that it had forgotten about while it was focusing on the appetizer. The minotaur bit down on his pair of legs as it ate them, causing the bones to crack and pieces of flesh and blood to spill out from its mouth. Then, the monster casually wiped its mouth and began to move its huge body, twice the size of a normal human’s, towards him.
In that instant, shorter than the time it takes to blink, it appeared before him. The next thing he knew, he had been lifted up, the minotaur’s gaping maw widening in front of him.
“…no, no, No, No, NO, NO, NO! I dontwanttodie, I dontwanttodie, I dontwanttodie, I dontwannadie, I dontwannadie!”
As he spat out these words, he began to cough up more blood.
His voice took no form, his screams fell upon deaf ears, and a sea of blood is spilled out on the quiet residential streets.

Those were Ichijo Akira’s last thoughts as his skull was crushed by the minotaur’s jaws.
