Kayena wondered as she moved around the area as much as she could.

Raffaello opened a hidden door near the building they were standing in as if he was already used to it.

Raffaello looked at Kayena as if he could see through her black veil.

Kayena shut her lips at his words.

No one knows better than him why Kayena sold her life. She was unable to protect Mrs. Clarence Evilan, and now he felt resentment towards himself for even giving Kayena her letter.

Kayena realized what he was thinking and said sternly: “My nanny was killed by Rezef, not you.” 

Her hand touched Raffaello’s cheek. Then Raffaello kissed her through the black veil. The two people overlapped their lips with a thin veil between them.

With a slight bow he said: "I'll bring you victory."

Failing isn’t an option now.

Rezef lay on the sofa and looked away from the ceiling.

He didn't feel motivated. 

Nothing was pleasant to him anymore. 

Even his anger towards Kayena was non-existent. He felt lost as he stared at nothingness with empty eyes.

Preparing for the hunting competition was also troublesome. What would he do there? Maybe he would even get caught up in that bastard Yester’s trap. 

Or he’ll look at his sister’s face pretending to be innocent.

‘You're weakening, Rezef.’

She would wipe his cheek and look at him with worried eyes.

Rezef raised his hand and wiped his face. He regretted killing Kayena’s nanny prematurely. 

"I should have had others kill her while Kayena was watching…”

But she betrayed him. He should cut ties with her and kill her immediately, but his madness and infatuation towards her still lingered.

He would forgive his sister. 

"You have to kneel down in front of me and beg for forgiveness."

Like a madman, Rezef was determined to make his sister beg. 

“Jameel.” He called, and his secret attendant emerged from the darkness. “Get rid of the Emperor during the hunting competition.”

“I obey Your Highness’s orders.” Jameel knelt on one knee.
